I left my Bliss in Nashville-sisco

Nashville Cowboy

If you do a little searching around the Blogosphere today, I'd be willing to bet you could find a few posts about this past weekend's Blissdom Conference. Just a few.

As soon as I left last fall's Blissdom, I knew I had to get my keister back to Nashville for this year's conference.

I was not disappointed.

Despite early set-backs (a sick baby, damaged luggage, a broken necklace chain - all before 9 am on Friday) it was, let's see...how do I put it? Um...freakin' sweet.

I still can't believe I'm back in Milwaukee where its 35°F and foggy and I have like a hundred meetings to sit through.

Doc Holiday's

So, I while I want to be all "I wanna give a shout out to my homies old and new" and share new found wisdom with y'all (heh - Nashville souvenir) I just don't have it in me today.

Cuz hell - I haven't even unpacked yet.

I will say two things:
1) I will be doing a giveaway from this weekend's conference, which I'll post tomorrow. Call me the Queen of Giveaways, I don't care. This one's GOOD. You doana wanna miss it!

2) I'll be uploading more of my Nasvhille/Blissdom shots to flickr as time permits today. Come check out my continually growing photo stream there.

And in a departing shot of pseudo-wisdom, I want to share with you a joke from the most awesome, character-pulled-from-a-book little old hillbilly cowboy we met on the street Sunday morning in downtown Nashville. He was gray and grizzled and I'm pretty sure he had no teeth. He wore dirty pants and a work shirt, and had a leather jacket with fringe and turquoise stones on it draped over the back of his electric wheelchair.

And a chihuahua on his lap.

He wheeled up to our group of obvious tourists and said,

"Every dog has his day 'til he breaks his tail. Then he's got a week end."

Ba-dum-pum.

Sounds like you met my 3rd cousin, twice-removed, Kenny...pronounced "kinny". ;)

Glad you had an awesome time (even if it started out kinda rough).

I love to see what bloggers look like In The Real World. Your photo show was like flipping through the People magazine while standing in line at the grocery store. A quick skim of the conference without paying for it!

P.S. Are you ready for tomorrow's heat wave?

Colleen,

I'm so jealous girlfriend. I so would have loved to come -- it sounds like it was a total blast. Just don't forget all the little people when you're a rich and famous blogger, kay?

Hope your re-entry is smoothe!

Hugs!

Awesome, Colleen. So glad I got to meet you, and it's fun to see so similar shots I took off my camera today - same items, slightly different perspectives. Very cool.

Was absolutely fabulous to get to hug your neck again and spend a little time walking the streets with you.
In a totally non-prostitution way.
Heh. ;-)
