The difference between men & women (again)

"I'll get up with the kids, hon."

What it really means:
(Women) - "I'll get up at 7:30 a.m. with the five-year-old, even though I was up until 1 dealing with a sick two-year-old. I'll start the coffee, feed the kids, the dog and the cat and break up the fights that occur over the last stale donut hole and who gets the blanket from the back of the couch while they watch Hip Hop Harry."

(Men) -

Sunday morning

I love it.

In our house, "I'll get up" means "I'm going to say I'll get up, but I'll pretend I'm sleeping while the kids keep coming in. Then, in an hour, I'll get up and say sorry."

:)

Hilarious!

That NEVER happens over here.

And now I've got the goofy Hip Hop Harry song in my head..."When I say hip-hop you say Harry, Hip Hop Harry, Hip Hop Harry!"

I know. I need to get a life!

Yes. That.

In our case, it means the man of the house will turn on the Disney Channel and stick his head up his . . . well, go ahead and finish that.

Yup. That's the scene at our house every morning! (My husband is home with our daughter until after lunch because he works evenings.)

If only I had a dollar for each time I came down to this on the days Justin "got up" with the kids. Though I can't complain...at least yesterday he made them (and me) toaster waffles.

So sad but true. This is why we expect diamonds and romance (once in a while). Cute post!
