If I didn't tell you the above picture was Lake Michigan, you might almost be inclined to think it was part of the set of shots I took of the ocean down in North Carolina. But no, that's the Lake, about 15 miles from my house, taken yesterday when it was about 32°F and sleeting.
Truth be told, my little picture-taking endeavor only lasted about 15 minutes before my fingers were numb and my eyes were watering from the cold.
And WHY was I out in the freezing cold taking pictures of a tiny little "coastal" town?
Because its pretty. And some days, you need the pretty.
