Growing like weeds

The weather was beautiful yesterday, and by that I mean it was about 50 degrees and sunny.

We had a bunch of picking up and little things to do outside, so the fam spent most of the late afternoon/evening hours enjoying the fresh air.

Well, mostly enjoying it anyway.

After dinner, Hubs surprised the boys with a little "campfire". Will is too small to remember fires from last year, and they both loved it. (By loved it I mean they sat pretty still in their chairs and didn't make me nuts worrying about them falling into the fire.)

(We had a bunch of scrap wood from the work we've been doing around the house.)

It struck me - we no longer have babies.

We have two boys. {sniff}

Oh my.
I remember the moment too well when it hit me smack in the head...'they are no longer BABIES...they are BOYS'.....and I wasn't too thrilled about it. I cried. But guess what? They are just as cute/fun now at 10/8 as when they were in my yard pulling off their diapers and peeing in my flower pots. I swear.

:)

It really hits when you are getting them ready for their first days of real school! They grow so fast but Marcy is right they get more fun as they grow. Love the shot of Will's littl butt!

I came to that same realization about my 3.5 year old. I just looked at him one day and he looked bigger .. makes me sad!

It hasn't sunk in yet that my husband's baby girl is now 22 and having her own baby THIS month. While I didn't birth her, she's still my daughter and has been since she was 7.

My system can't take the shock!!

Cute pics!!

Okay, you need to post the caption to that final picture: The End.
Anyway, I'm laughing at your photos--and yes, it blows by so fast.

So cute - I just want to pinch the hiney in the last picture. :-)

Sounds like you guys had a great evening... I wish our weather was mild enough to hang outside - I'm just praying that it will be tomorrow so that we can plant our garden!

So is it time to have another?? LOL Just kidding!

I am so glad that other people take pics of their naked boys bottoms! My husband is trying to convince me I am wrong in doing this. But is there anything more precious then a chubby baby butt???

I agree...nothing cuter than a baby bottom :)

Awwww! They grow so fast, don't they? Looks like they had a great time in the 'good' weather - and a perfect fire to end the day. And that cute little baby butt is just too adorable! :)

Happy ATWT! :)

Shuuuuutttttt Upppppppp! That last one -- stop it!

And hey, while you're at it, throw in your old Palm Sunday palms and burn them up. Someone just told me they throw theirs in the fireplace. I never know what to do with them. I mean, I know you're supposed to burn them and all, but who thinks of that when it's like 90!

They do grow too fast. It's a little sad. At least yours are still pretty little though - enjoy!
