Tackle It Tuesday #1

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

This is the first time I've participated in Tackle It Tuesday. I'm typically of the mind that everything I do in my home in the evenings is tackling something. It's just not worthy of sharing with others. But as I read more about the purpose of this meme, "...I need some blogging incentive to get back in control of my house..." I realized - I need that, too. So here we go. My first official "Tackle It" project. It may look small, but trust me - this was gross.
I chose to clean off the top of my fridge. Why? It's just one of those areas I don't clean. Ever.

Before:

Doesn't look bad, right? But do you see that, oh, inch or so of space between the underside of the cabinet and the top of the fridge? GA-ROSS. I took a sponge and wiped in there and I almost barfed. In fact, I was so distracted by the grossness that I didn't take a picture.

And look what else I found up there:

A bag of bullets. Because, why wouldn't there be a bag of bullets on top of my refridgerator? Don't you have a ziploc baggie of (what I'm guessing are) 9mm cartridges on top of your fridge?

Here's the after. I used my new Simply Safe cleaner (which works very well, smells great, costs just about as much as regular cleaners and I can buy at my local grocery store). And BONUS! Maybe the 3-yr-old won't be eating jelly beans for breakfast this morning, now that his Easter basket is out of reach!

I'm glancing at the top of my fridge and don't see any zip-loc bags of 9mm bullets! However, I do 6 of the same Chineese food menu. Can't find the reasoning!

LOL I thought my house was the only place you would find bullets and fishing lures on top of the fridge. Happy TT.

Great tackle! I never clean the top of my fridge either. I can't imagine the dust, cobwebs, etc., up there, though I'm pretty sure I wouldn't find bullets. :)

Great first tackle! No job is too big or small, the idea is to just get in there and do it. Welcome aboard :)

Ohhhh, the interesting things we find when we "tackle". I've been finding endless treasures for the past 3 Tuesdays. I'm also using this Tuesday thing as motivation to getting my house in order. I'm on a mission! Sounds like you are too...Good Luck!

Too funny, but I have found bullets on top of my fridge too! I haven't cleaned on top of my fridge since we moved in so I am sure it is gross too!
