A visit to the Northwoods

I feel like we've been on vacation forever and I'm finally back at work. Grrrr. Nick cried like I took away his birthday when I told him last night that Mommy was going back to work.

I've already shared our Fourth of July pictures, now on to leg #2 of The Great Fantastic Family Vacation of Aught-eight. Last Sunday we headed up to see the house my Dad's been building in Phillips, WI.

It really is in the great northwoods of Wisconsin. We had a great time, tooling around the yard on ATVs, swimming down at the lake, playing at the park...you name it, we did it.

This photo makes them look further away than they are, but these deer were about 20' from the house. They were later joined by several of their friends - we counted six deer we could see before they ran off. They didn't seem bothered by the noise the boys were making in the house in the least bit!

Tomorrow I'll post pictures from the Wisconsin Concrete Park and our visit to the Dells, and later this week, some shots from our family reunion this past weekend!

Update: I'm editing this post to include "Project Support Beauty in Nature" as a tag - we were obviously in nature and supporting it through the, uh, various stuff we did while enjoying it. I have a funny middle-of-the-night story I'll get around to sharing later this week.

Excellent Wisconsin Fun! And of course the tame deer feature prominently in any drive through our fair state:)

Okay, tell me more about Flashback Friday!

About the scrapbooking, yup, DO IT! I so don't go in order, I do what I have stuff for and feel the motivation and just have 4 books right now I'm kind of mix and matching and trying to keep in order by date. Hey, whatever, at least I'm doing something.
