Its 5:00 somewhere (AND A GIVEAWAY!)

As much as I love my kids, I'm a firm believer that we Moms don't do enough for ourselves.

(Go count the numbers of cute outfits in your kids' drawers, then go count your own. Stuff that doesn't fit doesn't count. Go. See? They have more than you do, don't they? Told you.)

Its for this reason that I'm hosting a virtual Happy Hour...all week long.

I'm kicking off my week-long cocktail and shmooze-fest with a giveaway from Eden Fantasys.

Now, don't be shocked. There's a lot of good stuff over there - like these and this and this. Oooh! Or these, or this, or...did you ever wonder about this?

To enter, leave me a comment and tell me what fun thing you're doing for yourself this week. Gettin' your nails done? Hair cut? Drinks with friends?

The winner will be chosen randomly and will get a $25 gift certificate they can use for whichever adult toy or lingerie item they'd like. (You don't even have to tell me what you chose!)

You can also enter a second time by tweeting about the contest.

Sample:

@mommy_wins is having a happy hour giveaway sponsored by @edenfantasys - check it out! http://bit.ly/YVFAp #momshavefun

(You can add extra entries if you like for following @drewg78 and tweeting to him as well.)

I'll choose the winner on Friday evening around 7pm (central) while having a glass or two while chatting on Twitter. I hope you'll join me!

And come back every day this week for more "for Mom"!

Hey Colleen . . . Roger is letting me go out to dinner tonight with a friend. Of course, I will have to take our newest addition as I am the meal wagon, but there will not be 6 other children to contend with for a few hours! Yahoo!!

It's kind of weird posting after *ahem* myself, but I can go with it. I am enjoying the company of six of my children tonight! :) Maybe they'll want to watch Doctor Who, or NCIS instead of Dora and Disney... Or, if the weather holds, a walk would do me some good.

this may sound totally lame but...i'm going to take a nap. there are a million things to do right now, but all i want to do is sleep for as long as my kids will let me. that sounds wonderful to me!

You are SO right - we don't do enough for ourselves. So let me think....what can I do for myself this week....hmmmm....I guess I'll take myself on another run/walk. And maybe drag hubby out again to play tennis with me.

When I want to treat myself (but we're on a tight budget, like now), I make myself an iced coffee and top it with whipped cream and choloate syrup.

Oooh, I think we still have coffee in the pot. I'm off to make some NOW!!

I just got done with a whirlwind of events and finally had a "me" moment. I decided I am going to stop panicking about updating my blogs and stop promising things to people that I cannot follow through on. I cleared my plate and it feels so good. I finally don't have a pain in the stomach and I can just enjoy my little boys. Afterall, they are what makes me the happiest!

Oh Colleen, I did a post about this same very thing a few weeks back. We Moms all need to get better at doing one nice thing for ourselves EACH and EVERY day!!!

Tonight I started my 2nd session of tennis lessons. I am loving it. I am loving my instructor -- he's awesome and I'm learning so much. I'm having fun and I'm meeting nice ladies. It's a blast! And I am learning to walk out the door and not feel GUILTY!!!

This is too funny. Count me in and I'm off to go tweet too! If I win I may donate the certificate to the local orphanage.

My children are so styley, too bad their mom dresses like a bag lady! Well, this week, the bag lady is getting gussied up and hitting the cinema with a fellow mammy for some wild times with Ryan Reynolds! As for $25.00 Eden certificate, check this out http://www.edenfantasys.com/vibrators/discreet-vibrators/incognito-lipstick-vibe

Too cute!

I got a babysitter on Monday for 2 full hours .... and had nothing specific to do! I've gone from a mama that never used a sitter for 6 years to one that now tries to find one for at least 2 hours a week. Sometimes I make appointments, or go on errands that I can't bring the kids with me ... but this week, I sat in a bookstore coffee shop for 2 hours and just did nothing : )
(shhhhh....don't tell my hubby!)

I was heading out of state tomorrow to spend a week with my brother, but now that has been postponed 'cause he has a toothache... so I guess I will get a haircut and a pedi. =D

Ok, so going to Orlando in the middle of August with my family (including my parents) doesn't really count as doing something for myself, right? Yeh, didn't think so.

OOO! I got a massage last night because I was so tight my chiro couldn't adjust me. I knew I had to have done something for myself this week, right? :) I could definitely do something else for myself if I won though. Just sayin'

WE only get picked randomly because I'll admit to using a few toys alone this week if not...? LOL.

No really hubby and I got massages, a nice expensive dinner on Monday and then a movie. Today I am stealing a few minutes to shop online. I am getting lots of time to myself. Oh and my hubby taking the kids Monday morning so I could clean three bathrooms doesn't count does it?

Nothing comes to mind, unfortunately. Oh wait, I bought come cute panties. You know, the non-industrial kind? And they fit nice, unlike the swimsuit or the bras...but hopefully replacements in the correct size should be arriving in about a week. I haven't bought any of those types things in nearly 2 years.

oh, and did anyone else notice that the tweet hashtag looks like Mom Shave Fun? cuz that's what I first thought and haven't stopped giggling about it.

I went to the gym for the first time in 6 months, and didn't pass out after the class! Not so sexy, I know, but it was a little me time..

so, I'm cracking up over Colleen's comment about the hashtag too :).
